Evaluation for scenario excersice

My scenario is about friends and family, but I believe I just need to add a few more bits to my scenario, as it doesn’t really fit well for my liking. In my scenario I show the life I’m living in college and things that go on when I’m not at my best. The people who helped me for weeks were – Emmanuel & Jeremiah also a few other people. There were a couple of different locations that I wanted to use on my scenario but time was running out so I just decided to do one of me walking down my road, one entering my home. The next, in college and so on and so fourth.

The storyline I chose for my scenario wasn’t really the best, but I just thought to myself that I should choose one that suits me best instead of one that has no effect on me and the people around me. As my scenario was made to make people see the life I’m living and know how I go about things. At the end of the day, I’m proud of the work I produced to make my scenario. And my scenario was a success, and everyone in my class enjoyed it, and so did I.

Advert Evaluation

In my advert what happened was, my two friends and I went to a café and we sat down looking smart businessmen and we all started talking about our partner. (Our phones) and we were just describing the phones as if it was a girl. The things that went well within the advert was that we all had the chance to laugh and joke about, and had the time to just show a funny side of us as a team group. Furthermore, the things that pleased me most about the advert was that I saw my face on the screen also for the fact that, the team working together nicely.

This advert is different from the other adverts around this area because our team was more free with the things we said and more loose with things, but other adverts around phones are more structured. The things I think wouldn’t make this product sell is how much noise was in the background and how much of time we had to do the advert, as the purpose my team was trying to make was a bit lengthy and just a bit long, but was very funny.

The advert made by my team was for businessmen, teenagers and adults. As this phone is for a working environment. The feedback given, well there wasn’t any actually, but there was a huge round of applause. The things I actually hated were the time. Basically an advert is made from a time period of 30 seconds to 1 minute, as I said before the point we were trying to make was a bit long. For next time, I believe I should just advise my team to make the joke or point a bit shorter, so that people are focused on what is actually being said and shown.

Evalaution - Video Profile

Evaluation – Video Profile

This is an evaluation for my video profile that I did a couple of weeks back. In this evaluation I will be telling you about what happened within the video and what went well, also what didn’t go so well.

I started recording my video profile inside the college and started to talk about myself within the criteria stated. My grades, the course that I do, my hobbies, what I do in my spare time, and anything else I may have missed out was said in my video profile. Also in my video profile I wanted to add something different from everybody else’s video profile, so I put in a video about me rapping to show my talent as a whole to everybody.

But beforehand I wanted to think things through so what I did was plan my every step. When I was rapping I wanted to do it in a dark place to show how everything all comes into play. And everything turned out just great. I also tried to do a lot of creative shots throughout the whole video profile, but when I went through my work properly I saw at some points they weren’t really needed.

I wanted to make my video profile seem as if it’s a common profile than switch it up towards the end, cause I think outside the box all the time. When I finished my video profile I was a bit behind with my other work so I had to put my video profile up quickly and make sure I finished everything to do with my video profile. My video profile came out alright, but there were certain bits in my profile that came out a bit rubbish but the standard of work I produced overtook that. And I was very happy with the work I produced at the end.

In my video profile just for a second (Media Offline) appeared in it. I was a bit shocked but I had to pass that as my time was up and everything was finished. After everything I uploaded it to my blog and got a few comments on my blog, which were all positive, and I’m happy about everything that people said. I had to finish up my other work at the end but my video profile was a success, and I was happy, my video profile was done and completed.

Advertising Workbook - Task 1

Explain what TV advertising is?

TV advertising is TV programming which is paid by an organisation that will convey a message , typically to market (sell) a product. In the USA there are about 3,000 adverts that people see in a day. In adverts, products that are usually being marketed are (Cars, food, films, etc)

View three contemporary TV adverts and lists three characteristics of them:

- Frosties advert (Marketing)
- Mc Donald's advert (Marketing)
- JD Sports (Marketing)

The estimated average American consume everyday is about 3,000 adverts. Advertising may only sometimes work depending on the product or what they're trying to sell can relate to them. (Tony the tiger). The places where adverts are seen are on the bus, or the TV. It's successful because people can relate to the product more. As people can't make connections just with the product. To stop people from turning over people spend huge amount of time on pyrotechnics to get us interested.

This show will continue to further ask the question - What's On My Mind? In this video i talk about what is on my mind, and i'm just explaining the problems that undergo in my life. Than another girl came into my life, and changed everything, but she there was a problem. She had a boyfriend, but what was affecting me was that she had a boyfriend but loved me.

I tried to be there for her when she needed me. But than things happened and her and her boyfriend broke up with each other, i tried to be the person she could always count on, and be here to catch her when she falls but what happened was that her and the same boy went back out before i could catch her. And she stopped falling. And my hands were left empty.

Viral Marketting - Dove Evolution

Dove Evolution

This video can be found on Youtube. In this video a woman goes to a photo shoot, but when she goes there she believes it is just for pictures of her, but it's actually what they do to her whilst her pictures are getting taken they than manipulate her pictures to make her look more beautiful, but everything about her is getting changed, e.g. her eyes, her nose - her whole face, but this viral marketing shows me that companies can be very cruel, but kind in a result of getting a good picture.

The target audience is aimed at teenage girls, also woman who use this product.

The digital platform is MP3.

The purpose of the video was to show everyone what actually happens when people go for a photo shoot for a particular company.

Task 1 - Understanding current uses of video in interactive media

In this i will be describing and explaining the meanings of each term and i will also be giving examples and also definitions.

Video Formats, eg.mov, avi

AVI - AVI stands for (Audio Video Interleave) AVI is a multimedia container format which was first introduced in November 1992 as it was part of videos for windows technology.

AVI contains most widely known video container formats within the PC industry and is found to be a good specimen for audio and video based standards for the 20th century. As said before the AVI video format was introduced in November 1992 for it's Video for Windows. The AVI has a factor for video and audio data, the AVI also supports multiple data streaming in audio and video.

MOV - MOV is used for file extension used by QuickTime-wrapped files. Quicktime was developed by Apple Computer, it's commonly used in Windows systems, and other types of computer platforms.

MOV means or stands for a special format for Apple Quick Time Player. This is also used for Macintosh as well as Windows.

Streaming

Streaming - Streaming means viewing or listening to things live on the internet, rather than not hearing it, you get to fully view the download.

Streaming means taking different files such as files video clips (Youtube) and radio. Streaming means data that has been transferred and used immediately, without having to download the actually thing entirely.

File Compression

File Compression - File Compression is used when sending a file from one computer to another computer over a connection that has limited bandwidth.

File compression is something that is used when sending data from one computer to another, which has a limited bandwidth, this compression usually has the files much smaller so that the sending is faster. But when compressing a file to another computer it must have a program that will decompress so that the file is returned to normal and is than used.

Aspect Ratios

Aspect Ratios - Aspect Ratios is an image that has the ratio of width of the image to its height, shown as two numbers apart by a colon.

Aspect Ratios is the width to the height of a TV picture. 16:9 and 4:3 are referred to the picture length to picture width.
